Meleca Architecture has won two prestigious awards for the design of the I-670 Cap at High Street. Chosen from entries around the world, a 2006 Charter Award from the Congress for the New Urbanism was bestowed for the I-670 Cap design as best embodying and advancing the principles of the Charter of New Urbanism in the Block, Street, and Building category. The project was also a finalist for the World Leadership Award, given to cities for innovative solutions in fields including Architecture & Civil Engineering, Town Planning, and Urban Renewal. Locally, the project received the Columbus Landmarks Foundation 2005 James B. Recchie Design Award. Each year Columbus Landmarks honors individuals and institutions that have made exceptional strides in promoting historic preservation and producing quality urban design in central Ohio with seven awards, including the James B. Recchie Design Award.
Meleca Architecture received an honorable mention in the publication Retail Traffic's Superior Achievement in Design and Imaging Award for Eton Chagrin Boulevard in Woodmere, Ohio. This project was a renovation and expansion of an existing mini-mall into an urban/suburban shopping, dining and entertainment center.
